To best serve the media team’s development, we are currently opening a UK Football Editor position on a freelance basis. The Football Editor will help the team in bringing content with high-added value to our users.
What you will do:
Oversee the media production chain:
🚀Supervise editorial content production on your assigned websites (Football Whispers, Football Ground Guide, Punditfeed)
🚀Planning an SEO-driven content strategy to maximise website traffic
🚀Recruit & manage a pool of skilled freelance writers to cover over 20 languages
🚀Traffic reports and analysis:
- identify and report on top/flop articles
- adjust strategy as needed
- scale to cover new subject areas
🚀Define content standards (create article briefs, check writer work etc.)
KPIs
- Editorial Traffic generated on the portfolio
- Global content quality
- Smooth collaboration
Your Profile:
✅Flawless written and spoken English (first language or completely bilingual)
✅Experience managing a team of writers is an advantage
✅Well-organised
✅Autonomous, able to work with small teams.
✅Keen interest in sports and football ⚽ in particular
