We’re on the lookout for a skilled Growth Engineer to join our team at Clerk! If you’re passionate about building impactful features, experimenting with new ideas, and using data to drive decisions, this is your chance to help shape the future of Clerk’s growth. In this role, you’ll work with a collaborative team to create solutions that improve user experience and accelerate growth.

• Collaborate with small, cross-functional teams to create and implement features and improvements that help drive growth.

• Implement experiments to improve onboarding, activation, conversion rates and adoption.

• Use data to identify opportunities, and drive feedback loops to learn from experiments.

• Work closely with Marketing and other teams to conduct experiments to improve our understanding of Clerk’s ideal customers and smooth over friction points in Clerk’s adoption funnel.

• You have 5+ years of experience building performant, reliable web applications. You’re proficient in Next.js, React, Typescript, and Node.

• You have strong analytical skills and are comfortable using data to guide decisions and measure the success of your work.

• You enjoy running experiments, testing hypotheses, and iterating based on results. You’re comfortable with rapid experimentation, understanding that failure is part of the process.

• You’re driven by a desire to improve the user experience. You’re comfortable engaging with customers directly through support channels, conversations, and feedback loops.

• Entrepreneurial - You take an interest in Clerk’s business and finding ways to improve it. You want to see the bigger picture so that you can connect your work to it.

• Experimental - You take a science-like approach of forming a hypothesis based on signals, creating experiments to test them and evaluating the outcomes.
