Appwrite is looking for a Developer Advocate with a passion for engaging and educating developers on social media. As a member of our Developer Relations team, you will work alongside a group of six talented individuals, each with their own unique strengths. Your role will be to complement our skills and help us foster a vibrant and engaged community. If you enjoy spending most of your time on Twitter and other socials, creating demos, recording video shorts, and writing technical content, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Demonstrated experience with at least two programming languages or frameworks (JS, TS, PHP, Python, Ruby, Dart, Kotlin, Swift…)
Oversee Appwrite’s Twitter, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram account and build a day-to-day social media strategy to enhance our brand and voice
Collaborate with other teams to create demos, trending video shorts, social media content and technical content to promote on all platforms
Increase brand awareness and grow an active community of developers and advocates for our products
Keep up to date with developing trends in both developer and social media communities to create the perfect blend of attractiveness and relevance
- Proven ability to organize and schedule content and collaborate with others to actively generate more ideas for social media
- Ability to work with a diverse global company and team across different time zones in a startup environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and video content creation
- Proven ability to build and engage a large audience on Twitter
- Passion for inspiring and educating developers
- Experience as a Developer Advocate
- Experience with participating in developer communities, such as conferences and hackathons

- Contributing to or maintained open source projects in the past
