Job Summary:
As the Chief Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and reputation of Ellis by ensuring our practices adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance program that addresses the unique challenges of our business model, focusing on USCIS regulations and other relevant laws.
• Continuously monitoring and evaluating the regulatory landscape, identifying potential risks, and advising the executive team on appropriate courses of action.
• Overseeing internal audits and investigations, addressing any identified issues promptly and thoroughly.
• Developing and delivering compliance training programs for employees, fostering a culture of compliance and awareness within the organization.
• Collaborating with external partners, such as legal advisors, government officials, and industry associations, to stay informed of regulatory changes and best practices.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and managing any inquiries, inspections, or audits.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in law or compliance, with a focus on immigration law and USCIS regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of accountability and responsibility.
The Chief Compliance Officer will report to the CEO.
