[ROLE]
As a System Design Engineer you will be responsible for supporting efforts on multiple projects assigned by the engineering leadership. You will also work closely with everyone else on the team to solve problems even if it requires learning new skills or working out of your comfort zone or on things not listed in your roles and responsibilities when needed. You will be working with an agile team that promotes and spreads an agile culture where the focus is on achieving goals as a team with all means possible so we expect you to spread the same culture and values across the organization as it grows.
Responsibilities
- Apply an understanding of different system certification standards, commercial and governmental (ex. Air Worthiness, safety assurance)
- Understand systems engineering, systems modeling, and product lifecycle management techniques, tools, and methodologies
- Deep familiarization with methods, tools, data that is authored in the two or more of the following disciplines: Analytical Mechanics, Structural Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Controls, Electronics , Embedded Software, Model Based System Engineering, Product Design, Computational Modeling
- Designing systems to meet customer requirements
- Evaluating system performance and identify areas for improvement
- Developing system architectures, analyzing tradeoffs and providing design direction
- Documenting system design decisions
- Creating design deliverables, documents, schematics and test plans
- Collaborating with cross functional teams including product management and engineering
- Apply the Isatri product line to help meet project goals and expand the syste
- Expand the Isatri platform by ensuring it can consume the models, data, and enable the processes the cross functional teams execute in the public, private, and defense sectors.
- Analyze and document the current state and target state of systems, including requirements, constraints, and interfaces between components.
- Ensure the Isatri Platform can facilitate system designs that are compliant with industry standards
- Define, develop, implement, and document test plans, test cases, and use cases in order to ensure the system meets customer requirements.
- Support the integration and debugging of system components
