What You'll Do
- Lead our multi-cloud deployment initiative, guiding us in our journey from AWS to Azure and beyond.
- Architect a sophisticated abstraction layer to enable reliable deployments across clouds and environments. You’ll champion its reproducibility & fortify its security, potentially leveraging a test-driven approach to maintain our standard of excellence.
- Spearhead high-stakes projects and coordinating with multiple stakeholders in an environment that values autonomy and initiative.
- Contribute to Pluto's strong Incident Response culture, taking ownership of services & setting the bar for great reliability through proactive monitoring, comprehensive logging & rapid issue resolution.
- Mentor team members, fostering an environment of collaborative candour and unbiased excellence.
Who We're Looking For
- You have 3-5 years of diverse experience across backend, platform, DevOps, or SRE roles.
- You're comfortable navigating the intricacies of a big cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Bonus: You have corporate Azure experience
- Bonus: You have corporate Azure experience
- You have Kubernetes experience, or have managed complex services on a container runtime.
- You understand how to manage complexity in a Terraform stack.
- You're someone who truly understands how to observe a service, from analyzing logs and traces, to being ready to profile, strace, and packet capture.
- You get a kick out of troubleshooting & deciphering complex networking mysteries.
- You have a keen pulse on how infrastructure decisions can affect the business.
- Bonus: You understand JVM configuration & metrics.
- Bonus: You’ve previously setup the infrastructure stack at a start up and have shipped product code.
- Bonus: You’ve experimented with CDK, and have opinions about it.
- Bonus: You have a track record of contributing to open-source technologies.
