As a Malicious URL Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- Thoroughly analyzing various types of URLs and domains
- Developing and enhancing methods to detect and analyze malicious URLs and domains
- Conducting and publishing research on the latest security threats
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should:
- Have a strong grasp of web server software and hosting systems architectures, especially Linux/UNIX-based platforms.
- Possess a deep understanding of HTML and JavaScript as it relates to malware detection, including techniques like redirection, cloaking, SEO spam, and phishing.
- Have a basic knowledge of PHP and fundamental programming principles.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills to effectively detect and address security issues.
- Be proficient in English, at least at an Intermediate level.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in developing security tools, automation, and frameworks.
- Proven expertise in cleaning up websites that have been compromised by malware.
- Skills in web-based malware reverse engineering, specifically in JS deobfuscation and PHP deobfuscation.
