Catio is searching for a Lead of ML, to join our early team of industry-leading cloud-native tech and engineering experts and to spearhead our data science and ML engineering efforts.
In your role, you will initially focus on the following:

Assessing feasibility of various machine learning approaches and building a contemplated ML roadmap. This will include ML architectures including using internal and third-party models, required data collection, model development and deployment, and contemplated training to achieve our objectives.

Working with engineering teams to guide architecture and implementation of data engineering and machine learning components to meet our ML roadmap. This will include data pipeline engineering, training workflows, deployment workflows, and all associated ML infrastructure.

Continuously iterating to improve measured outcomes and to find novel applications of machine learning to cloud infrastructure architecture intelligence.
Although you will start as a lead individual ML contributor, you will be given an opportunity to lead a broader team as we continue to scale out. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape Catio's entire engineering and product direction given your early leadership role on the team as well as the level of contribution that AI brings to the Catio's mission.
Qualifications:

Ph.D. or Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and / or Computer Science.

Proven expertise in applied data science and ML architectures.

Experience with partnering with domain experts to design and train ML models best fit to address the domain objectives.

Desire to apply AI to power products that users love and that deliver exceptional value propositions.

Strong engineering skills, with strong experience in ML infrastructure and workflows.

Broad knowledge of machine learning techniques, covering both deep learning and classical data science.

Track record of continuously delivering exceptional, market leading AI capabilities.

Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team.
