About the Role
We are looking for an Integration Architect to define and own the API/Services repositories and govern the delivery of both internal and external facing API’s. The successful candidate will have a strong integration background with experience in both GraphQL and REST methodologies. The candidate will need a good and practical understanding of the insurance industry and will ideally come from either an insurance organisation or a vendor providing core insurance applications. While our technology stack includes C#, Vue.js, MongoDB, and ASP.Net, familiarity with this stack is advantageous but not critical.
What You Will Do
- Ownership of the internal and external facing API repository within CoverGo
- Ownership of the internal and external facing API Information, Documentation and example portal
- Definition and ownership of the Integration Architecture principles and Design Guidelines
- Design of the API signatures across all areas of the platform
- Governance of the API’s developed to ensure they meet the Integration Architecture principles and design guidelines
- Implement and maintain best practices in integration architecture
- Work closely with the product and delivery teams to understand and prioritize the integration needs of our product domains and our customers
- Ensure flexibility and scalability of our API’s to meet a growing customer base
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the insurance industries from an integration perspective
- Collaborate with other engineers and architects to drive guidelines and documentation
- Provides advanced technical expertise, oversight and accountability for resolution of outages, service level issues and other events in partnership with support teams
- Define proactive activities and tasks required for optimization of stability, performance and architecture
- Closely partner with information security in insuring all applicable security and compliance standards and requirements are incorporated into service design
- Design integration aspects of CoverGo integration into prospects & clients architecture landscape as part of pre-sales and discovery activities
What We Need
- At least 10 years of professional experience in integration architecture design and delivery with a focus on financial services and at least 5 years directly in the insurance industry
- Proven experience in both GraphQL and REST integration models
- Knowledge of SOAP based Web Services is an advantage
- Strong architecture and in designing efficient and business focused services in a DDD environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality integration approaches & solutions in an enterprise environment that meets product and customer needs
- Exposure to Mulesoft, Workato, Boomi or similar products would be a distinct advantage. While we do not use these tools internally, our clients will have some of them as EIP’s we need to communicate with
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems architecture, integration architecture and data architecture standards, frameworks, and practices
- Knowledge of common system integration methods and technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- An interest in staying hands-on technical as well as wearing the Integration Architects hat
- Appropriate certifications in the integration space are also a distinct advantage
