The Head of Sales will play a critical role in leading and scaling the sales department. You will be responsible for building, managing and growing a comprehensive sales strategy, a high-performing sales team, and robust sales processes and systems. LiveKit has a unique opportunity and we are looking for a builder to join a sales organization and build from the ground up, with the support and resources of a fast-growing company.
You will report directly to [CEO] and work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Engineering, and People, to ensure alignment and maximize revenue opportunities.
Sales Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with company goals, market opportunities, and customer needs.
Lead the growth and performance of the sales team by setting clear targets, KPIs, and benchmarks for success.
Establish the vision, culture, and best practices for the sales organization, ensuring a high-performing and motivated team.
Manage and mentor the current team, ensuring their success while building a cohesive sales team.
Oversee the CRM and sales tools to ensure proper use and data integrity, working with other departments to improve automation and reporting.
Team Building & Development
Hire, train, and onboard new sales team members, expanding the team as the company scales.
Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, continuous learning, and achievement of revenue goals.
Develop and implement a sales training program to ensure team members are well-equipped to sell effectively and meet targets.
Revenue Generation & Management
Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring strong pipeline management and consistent revenue growth.
Build and maintain a strong, predictable sales pipeline and develop processes for effective pipeline forecasting.
Collaborate with marketing to optimize lead generation strategies and work with the product team to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategy.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Regularly analyze sales metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Create and present detailed sales reports to the executive team, highlighting performance, forecasts, and strategic insights.
Ensure the sales team is consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets, driving continuous improvements.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a senior sales leader, with a track record of scaling sales teams and driving significant revenue growth in a high-growth environment.
Previous experience in building sales teams and processes from the ground up is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales performance metrics.
Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of sales professionals.
Experience working closely with marketing and engineering teams to align sales strategy with broader business objectives.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
Data-driven approach to decision-making with a focus on measurable results and process optimization.
Preferred Bachelors degree in STEM.
