We’re seeking a Head of Marketing—a strategic leader, creative thinker, and skilled operator—who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, brand building, and developer-centric product marketing. You’ll define and scale a high-performing marketing function that fuels the next phase of growth for LiveKit.
You’ll be responsible for crafting the narrative, setting the vision, and building the programs that elevate LiveKit’s presence across channels. Your work will directly impact adoption, engagement, and the evolution of how we reach and support developers building with real-time infrastructure.
In this role, you will:
Own and evolve LiveKit’s brand and messaging, ensuring consistency across touch points while authentically connecting with developers, builders, and technical buyers.
Be and build the marketing organization, run lean and be a player/coach, but know when and how to efficiently scale the different marketing functions
Develop marketing strategies and campaigns that drive awareness, acquisition, and retention among our key audiences: developers, startups, and technical teams at high-growth companies.
Lead go-to-market marketing efforts for major product launches and initiatives, from positioning and messaging to enablement and distribution.
Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including blog posts, videos, product updates, technical explainers, customer stories, and community initiatives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, developer success, and sales to align on priorities and amplify impact across the funnel.
Define and track key marketing metrics, using data to evaluate performance, inform decision-making, and continuously improve campaigns and programs.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has a deep understanding of developer-first or infrastructure platforms, and knows how to market to technical audiences with empathy and authenticity
Has led marketing at a startup or scaling tech company, ideally building the function from the ground up
Can seamlessly move between high-level strategy and hands-on execution
Brings strong storytelling instincts and a sharp editorial eye—your bar for quality is high
Understands how to work across brand, product, and growth disciplines, and is energized by building integrated campaigns
Is analytical and experimental by nature, with a bias for learning and iteration
Bonus Points:
Experience in open source ecosystems or marketing open-source projects
A background in developer relations, technical content creation, or community building
Familiarity with WebRTC or real-time communication tools and trends
A portfolio of content, campaigns, or brand work that showcases your approach and impact
