Instrumentl is growing! We’re looking for an intellectually curious Content Marketer to help scale and optimize multiple initiatives across our go-to-market teams. Our mission is to be a force multiplier on the nonprofit sector’s ability to drive impact. We’re profitable and doubling year-over-year, with strong product-market fit (NPS is 60+).
About the role:
In your first year as a Content Marketer, you will help expand our company’s reach through scaling our content marketing and broader SEO efforts. This is a unique role where you’ll get to spearhead the growth of content marketing efforts that are seeing a doubling of outcomes quarter-over-quarter, while also learning foundational growth sales & marketing skills.

You'll be the 5th member of the Growth team, reporting directly to Mia. You'll also work closely with:

Instrumentl is fully distributed (read: no office!). For this position, we are looking for someone based in the continental US, but open to those flexible to Central Time standard working hours as well.
What you'll get to do:
- Identify and act on key emerging trends for our overall domain and blog
- Implement CRO best practices to grow leads generated from content marketing efforts
- Design and implement creative backlink building campaigns while also scaling broader backlink building initiatives
- Assist in maintaining and expanding our content marketing calendar, as well as scaling company-wide SEO efforts
- Draft copy for a variety of efforts from landing pages to email campaigns
- Test hypotheses and collaborate with the Growth team to validate new opportunities
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of work experience: ideally, you've worked in Growth, SEO, Digital Marketing, or Content Marketing at a SaaS company. Alternatively, you have experience in investment banking or management consulting.
- Sharp technical SEO skills: you not only get on-page SEO, but also can easily identify off-page SEO opportunities.
- Clear, concise copy: you consider yourself an effective writer and take pride in your copy.
- Freelancer management experience: you’re comfortable recruiting, hiring, and working with freelance writers to contribute to content marketing efforts.
- Strong business acumen: you can answer unstructured business questions and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to drive projects to conclusion.
- Obsession with execution excellence: you're known for meeting deadlines, staying organized, and being incredibly dependable.
- Excellent analytical skills: you spot trends quickly and feel comfortable conducting analysis with tools like Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Heap and Excel. You know what an index match is and can manipulate data easily.
- Resourcefulness: you are able to figure things out on your own once given general direction and parameters for guidance.
- Growth mindset: you exhibit a growth mindset every day and take feedback in stride.
- Tech savviness: you're familiar with tools like G Suite, Zoom, Slack, Close.io and Canva. You love shortcuts and can name your favorites off the top of your head.
- Communication: you pride yourself on your ability to communicate complex topics easily over video and in writing.
- Friendliness: you are warm and friendly, easy to work with, and genuinely enjoy communicating with others.
- Bonus: experience at an early-stage startup - you thrive in fast-paced environments and feel comfortable with ambiguity.
- Bonus: experience with grants or in the nonprofit world.
- Bonus: experience working remotely.

- Competitive salary ($60,000 - $90,000/year DOE + equity)
