As a Billing Specialist, you will support the Accounts Receivable team at BioRender to help us grow and support the B2C and B2B customers. We want to change the world, which only happens with great people and sound financial processes to drive effective cash collections that will enable our ambitious growth plans.
What you'll be doing:
Provoding timely responses to daily billing inquiries through Zendesk, ensuring exceptional customer service and prompt resolution to issues.
Process a high volume of purchase orders from customers and produce invoices through Stripe in an accurate and timely manner.
Perform daily cash applications to Stripe and NetSuite invoices to apply customer payments and resolve discrepancies between payments and amount due.
Apply and maintain tax exemption certificates in Avalara, ensuring compliance with tax regulations with various jurisdictions.
Identify, develop and implement more efficient and effective billing procedures and processes within Stripe to B2C customers.
Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure smooth coordination in billing processes and address any discrepancies or issues.
Produce month-end reports for receivables and collections for analysis.
Improve aged receivables by monitoring collections and completing regular follow ups.
Process customer refunds and calculate required credits tailored to meet the specific needs of internal teams.
Other ad hoc projects as assigned, including system implementations for billing, and involvement in user acceptance testing and code rollouts.
What we value:
Minimum 1-2 years in a customer service and data entry-related position.
Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong customer service experience.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Experience with NetSuite & Stripe is a plus.
Strong team player with a ‘’can-do’’ attitude and passion for excellence.
